Joseph is currently the Director of Programs for Faces & Voices of Recovery.  A person in long-term recovery, Joseph is a skilled facilitator and trainer for organizations that offer peer-based services, and has lent his expertise to programs throughout the country. He is also the co-founder of RecoveryATX, a recovery community organization (RCO) in Austin that provides recreational and educational events and activities for the community. Joseph has also served as a recovery coach since 2006. Joseph is committed to reaching out to the LGBTQ+ community in an effort to help eliminate homophobia and heterosexism, and is a supportive voice for those living with HIV and AIDS, as he has tested HIV positive since 2003.
